This one is absolutely FOR EVERYONE! Infused with Guava Seed Oil and Tamanu Seed Oil, this natural deodorant does have a mild fruity scent (from guava) and has no other added essential oils and no added fragrance. Magnesium Hydroxide and Zinc Ricinoleate kills the bacteria caused due to sweating and also absorbs any body odor you may experience. The mild scent is perfect for those of us who prefer smelling like we’re fresh out of the shower. Our deodorant is also a great option for people sensitive to essential oils or prone to allergies and for pregnant women. This unisex deodorant balm is 100% natural, paraben free and, most importantly, aluminium free. Our new formulation of vegan deodorants now use Candelilla wax instead of Beeswax making our Unscented Natural Deodorant Balm the true eco friendly and sustainable choice.

Key Ingredients

Zinc Ricinoleate

Zinc ricinoleate is the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid, a purified fatty acid found in castor oil from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant. It traps and absorbs odor molecules in such a way that they are no longer perceivable, making it a highly effective natural deodorizer.

Magnesium Hydroxide

Magnesium Hydroxide, Mg(OH)2, is a safe and naturally occurring compound used in natural deodorant products as an alternative to aluminum, baking soda and other ingredients that are potentially irritating, ineffective, or hazardous. Studies show that Magnesium Hydroxide does not absorb into the skin. Instead, its main purpose in a natural deodorant is to counteract any odor-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin without impacting the dermis – the layer of skin where sweat glands, pores and hair follicles are contained.

Guava Seed Oil

Exotic, protective, and softening, this light, non-greasy oil makes a great option for sensitive skin-types. It is rich in linoleic acid and is easily absorbed by the skin and its beautiful, fruity scent will transport you right to the tropics.

Tamanu Seed Oil

This oil’s antimicrobial properties make it an effective agent to fight body odor. It also helps with scarring and pigmentation.

Shea Butter

A naturally antibacterial butter, it helps eliminate the bacteria that can build up under your arms causing odor.

FAQ

  • What's the difference between natural deodorant and antiperspirant?

Anti-perspirant prevents you from sweating. That is, the aluminum contained in anti-perspirant acts as a plug on your body’s sweat ducts and prevents you from sweating and releasing other byproducts of sweat. Our natural deodorant works by reducing and neutralizing odors associated with sweat.

  • Is your deodorant an antiperspirant?

Our deodorant is not an antiperspirant. We are pro-perspiration and anti feeling wet. We believe your body knows best, so we work with its natural processes to keep you feeling dry and smelling fresh.

  • Are Natural Deodorants better?

We believe that people should have options. If you are concerned about aluminum or phthalates and want to make a switch, we have an option that actually works and helps you feel good about what you are putting on your body.

  • Is your deodorant made with talc?

No. Our deo is made without any talc.

  • Is your deodorant made with aluminum?

No. Our deo is proudly aluminum free.

  • Is your deodorant made with parabens?

No. Our deo is proudly paraben free too.

  • Will there be a transition period when switching to your deodorant?

Changing your skincare routine can mean that you go through a transition period while your body adapts to new ingredients. Although not everyone may experience a transition period, we are all different! There is no definite time frame for this transition, and it depends on your skin, and your habits.

  • Is it safe to use whilst pregnant?

    Yes, absolutely!

  • When/how often should I apply the deodorant?

Fresh out of the shower is best because clean pits are happy pits when paired with our deodorant. As all our bodies are different, application depends on how much you sweat. For a medium sweat, you’ll find that once a day in the morning on clean skin will be a good regimen. Use our natural deodorant before starting your day or before any physical exercise.

  • Is it suitable for kids/teenagers?

Yes, our natural deodorant has been formulated for everyone.

  • Will natural deodorant stain my clothes?

Nope. No more pit stains. Just use a thin layer of our deodorant and say goodbye to pit stains on your clothes for good.

  • Can I apply the deodorant after shaving?

Our deodorants are suitable for sensitive skin. If you generally find that applying deodorant straight after shaving causes your armpits to become sore or irritated, it may be best for you to wait a few hours to let your skin calm down before applying.

  • How much deodorant should I use?

All you need is a thin layer of our deodorant for it to do its job. Avoid applying too much as all of it may not get absorbed into your skin and the excess might transfer to your clothes.

  • Does your deodorant actually work?

Yes, it does! Our deodorant melts into the skin with ease and doesn’t leave you with a sticky feeling after application. But did you know that sweat doesn’t actually smell? Odor is caused when sweat comes into contact with the bacteria on our skin. So don’t forget to apply your natural deodorant when you get out of the shower.

  • How can I get the most out of your natural deodorant?

As odor is caused by the mixing of sweat with the bacteria on our skin, it’s important to make sure that you have regular showers or baths especially after intense sweating or post exercising. After showering, make sure your armpits are dry and apply your deodorant. You can also reapply your deodorant, and use it as needed through the day.

Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder, Psidium Guajava (Guava) seed oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Magnesium Hydroxide, Calophyllum Tacamahaca ( Tamanu) seed oil, Zinc Ricinoleate, Candelilla Cera (Candelilla wax), Tocopherol(Vitamin E oil).
All skin types. Best suited for sensitive skin.
Step 1: Scoop a pea sized amount of deodorant with your finger. Step 2: Rub in between fingertips and apply into clean and dry armpits once or twice daily.

What To Expect When Switching To A Natural Deodorant

A 2 to 4 week transition period can be expected when transitioning from antiperspirant to natural deodorant. Each stage of the detox may vary depending on your body chemistry. If you have been using antiperspirant since you were a preteen, your body will definitely be dependent on it. You may go a couple of days or even a week without noticing much difference between your antiperspirant and natural deodorant. This is due to the fact that the aluminum compounds in antiperspirant form a gel-like plug and constrict your pores in the underarm. This prevents you from sweating and feeling damp. When you stop using antiperspirant, you will experience a substantial increase in growth of odor-causing bacteria in the underarm area. You may also feel additional moisture because your body is sweating, which is the body’s natural way to flush out toxins. For some people, the stages of detox may seem too scary to embark on, but believe us you will be grateful you made the change once you’re through it. Thankfully, there are also a few things you can do to help you get through the detox.

Tips To Improve Your Detox

  1. Eliminate odor-causing bacteria in the shower with a natural antibacterial soap. Sweat + bacteria = odor. If you remove the extra bacteria that your body temporarily develops during the detox, it will significantly improve issues like feeling stinky.
  2. Carry a travel size deodorant (we have a few of those here) with you on the go to freshen up throughout the day while you detox.
  3. Take hot baths (just during the transition period) to help open your pores and encourage sweating to help to flush out toxins.
  4. Apply a natural starch powder, such as arrowroot powder or cornstarch, to the underarms after applying your deodorant. The starch will help absorb some of the excess moisture you may experience as your body flushes out all of the toxins trapped inside.

Disclaimer

  • We recommend massaging your Unscented Natural Deodorant Balm post application to avoid stains on clothes as they are a blend of pure oils and butters.
  • As we do not add any stabilizers, the deodorant may soften during high temperatures and harden during cold temperatures, however, it doesn’t affect the efficacy of the product.
  • Store the deodorant in a cool dry place. Do not store it in the fridge.
