Need we say more?

Our new formulation of vegan deodorants uses the combined magic of Magnesium Hydroxide and Zinc Ricinoleate to not only kill the bacteria caused due to sweating but also to absorb any body odour you may experience. Our old natural deodorant formulation had baking soda (which was extremely effective as well) and we have done away with it, as it can cause a mild irritation over time for people with sensitive skin, due to its pH value. Due to popular demand we’ve also made our deodorants vegan and have substituted our Beeswax for Candelilla wax!

Our goal is to provide an effective and sustainable option for those who want to switch to a cleaner and plastic- free natural deodorant alternative. Our deodorants come in 2 sizes – a 30 gram travel size and a 50 gram regular size. We are passionate about what goes into these deodorants and we’ve ensured that there is nothing in there that will clog your pores or cause health risks.

Key Ingredients

Zinc Ricinoleate

Zinc ricinoleate is the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid, a purified fatty acid found in castor oil from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant. Zinc ricinoleate traps and absorbs odor molecules in such a way that they are no longer perceivable, making it a highly effective natural deodorizer.

Magnesium Hydroxide

Magnesium Hydroxide, Mg(OH)2, is a safe and naturally occurring compound used in natural deodorant products as an alternative to aluminum, baking soda and other ingredients that are potentially irritating, ineffective, or hazardous. Studies have shown that Magnesium Hydroxide does not absorb into the skin. Instead, its main purpose in a natural deodorant is to counteract any odor-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin without impacting the dermis – the layer of skin where sweat glands, pores and hair follicles are contained.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is packed with goodness, known for their anti-inflammatory and moisturizing benefits. Coconut oil also has antibacterial properties, making it the perfect natural oil for breaking down odor-causing bacteria.

Grapeseed oil

Grapeseed oil contains high levels of linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. It moisturise and helps reduce scarring on skin while providing nourishment for you delicate pit skin

Shea butter

This butter is naturally antibacterial, it helps eliminate the bacteria that can build up under your arms that can cause odour.

FAQ

  • What's the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant?

Anti-perspirant prevents you from sweating. That is, the aluminum contained in anti-perspirant acts as a plug on your body’s sweat ducts and prevents you from sweating and releasing other byproducts of sweat. Our natural deodorant works by reducing and neutralizing odors associated with sweat.

  • Is your deodorant an antiperspirant?

Our deodorant is not an antiperspirant. We are pro-perspiration, anti-feeling wet. We believe your body knows best, so we work with your body’s natural processes to keep you feeling dry and smelling fresh.

  • Are Natural Deodorants better?

Our stance is that people should have options. If you are concerned about aluminum or phthalates, we have an option that actually works and helps you feel good about what you are putting on your body.

  • Is your Deodorant made with talc?

No. our deo is made without talc.

  • Is your Deodorant made without aluminum?

No. our deo is made without aluminum.

  • Is your Deodorant made with parabens?

No. Its is made without parabens.

  • Will there be a transition period when switching to your deodorant?

Like when you start a new skincare routine, changing your routine with what you use on your armpits can mean that you go through a transition period whilst your body adapts to new ingredients. Although not everyone may experience a transition period, we’re all different! There is no definite time frame for this transition, and depends on your skin, and your habits.

  • Is it safe to use whilst pregnant?

    Yes it is!

  • When/how often should I apply the deodorant?

Fresh out the shower, clean pits are happy pits when paired with our deodorant. Feel good, smell good. As we all are different it depends on how much you sweat. For a medium sweat, you’ll find that once a day in the morning on clean skin will cover you. Use it before starting the day or any physical exercise.

  • Is it suitable for kids/teenagers?

Yes, our deodorant has been formulated for anyone and everyone to use.

  • Will it stain my clothes?

No it won’t, just use a thin layer of our deodorant. Say goodbye to those funny pit stains on your tops caused by antiperspirants!

  • Can I apply the deodorant after shaving?

Our deodorant is suitable for sensitive skin, and we know the skin on our armpits is very delicate and sensitive. When we shave it can scrape the skin and cause irritation and applying product onto this could lead to further irritation. If you find that applying our deodorant straight after shaving causes your armpits to become sore or irritated, it may be best for you to wait a few hours to let you skin calm down before applying.

  • How much deodorant should I use?

All you need is a thin layer of our deodorant for it to do its job. Avoid applying too much as it may not all sink into your skin and may transfer to your clothes.

  • Does your deodorant actually work?

Yes, it does! Our deodorant melts into the skin with ease and doesn’t leave you with a sticky feeling after application. We use coconut oil and shea butter, to nourish, soften and soothe delicate underarm skin.
Did you know that sweat doesn’t smell? It’s when it comes into contact with the bacteria on our skin which is when the odour happens. We are all different, and we all sweat different amounts, so it’s best to find out what works for you.

  • How can I get the most out of your natural deodorant?

As odour is caused by the mixing of sweat with the bacteria on our skin, it’s important to make sure that you have regular shows or baths, and using a natural soap is one way to keep your skin clean. After intense sweating or after exercising, by having a shower and washing away the sweat from your skin, it means that the bacteria can’t mix with it to create an odour. After showering, you can apply your deodorant, just make sure that your armpits are dry. You can also reapply your deodorant, and use it as needed through the day.

Additional Information

What To Expect When Switching To Natural Deodorant

A 2 to 4 week transition period can be expected when transitioning from antiperspirant to natural deodorant. Each stage of the detox may vary depending on your body chemistry. If you have been using antiperspirant since you were a preteen, your body will definitely be dependent on it. You may go a couple of days or even a week without noticing much difference between your antiperspirant and natural deodorant. This is due to the fact that the aluminum compounds in antiperspirant form a gel-like plug and constrict your pores in the underarm. This prevents you from sweating and getting wet. When you stop using antiperspirant you will experience a substantial increase in growth of odor-causing bacteria in the underarm area. You may also feel additional moisture because your body is sweating, which is the body’s natural way to flush out toxins. For some people, the stages of detox may seem too scary to embark on, but it is so worth it when you realize that then for the rest of your life, you will have the security of knowing you are making a healthier life choice every single day. Thankfully, there are also a few things you can do to help you get through the detox.

Tips to Help You Get Through the Detox

  1. Eliminate odor-causing bacteria in the shower with a natural antibacterial soap. Sweat + bacteria = odor. If you remove the extra bacteria that your body temporarily develops during the detox, it will significantly improve issues with feeling stinky.
  2. Carry a travel size deodorant (we have a few of those!) with you on the go to freshen up throughout the day while you detox.
  3. Take hot baths (Just during these weeks) to help open your pores and encourage sweating to help to flush out toxins.
  4. Apply a natural starch powder, such as arrowroot powder or cornstarch, to the underarms after applying your deodorant. The starch will help absorb some of the excess moisture you may experience as your body flushes out all of the toxins trapped inside.

Disclaimer

  1. We recommend massaging the deodorant balm in post application to avoid stains on clothes as they're a blend of pure oils and butters.
  2. As we do not add any stabilizers, the deodorant may soften during high temperatures and harden during cold temperatures, however, it doesn’t affect the efficacy of the product.
  3. Store the deodorant in a cool dry place. Do not put it in the fridge.
